about

This Sunday, my young friend Mason will be confirmed, a kind of "coming of age" ceremony practiced in some protestant denominations. I think he was about five when he first hugged my neck and made me feel like I was a big deal to him. I'm sure this gentle waltz instrumental is very unlike a teen's playlist choices, but I want him to have it because our friendship is also unlike others he has. I plan to be his friend for a long time.

Number 22 is for Mason, my faithful friend.
