My friend Jesse, an amazing artist (see his paintings at jessecrockart.com), asked me to help create a perfect moment for him to propose to Lindsay. On a mountainside in Colorado, where we all are gathered at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp, I made a song that I would sing for them preceding his surprise proposal. They came upon me on a quiet spot by the flowing creek, secretly pre-arranged with Jesse, having 'coincidently' stumbled upon me hard at work on my 52 Songs project. I asked if they would mind me trying out my new song on them. It ends with a reference to a ring, and Jesse was right on cue with the sparkly diamond. Lindsay was beautifully overwhelmed in emotion and nodded 'yes' many times.

Number 27 is for these young friends on their path. Blessings. Thanks to Nick Ehrhardt for the use of his sweet hand made guitar.
